Misdiagnosis Causes Problems

If your patient is not getting a good night's sleep he or she may attract poorer health, a less-than-vibrant sex life, diminished work productivity, and become a serious danger to everyone on the road. If your patient's fatigue, tiredness, or lack of stamina is related to sleep apnea, they are not alone.

As many as one in four North American adults suffer from some form of sleep apnea. Due to the climbing obesity rate and other factors, the number of people at risk from serious health problems related to sleep disorders continues to grow. Media has portrayed those who snore as comical characters who are simply exhausted. Unfortunately, that view is not only "not funny", it's dead wrong.
